August, vacation time...

August is always a slow month. Many enjoy their vacation, and even a detour to France. Not much activity is planned in the Essec community this month, but a lot is getting prepared for the fall. We are preparing some new exciting information for the newsletter.

In Paris, Essec will celebrate the 30th anniversary of the relocation to Cergy. In the meantime, if you have paid your dues, you have received the new book of Alumni as well as the June Reflets Essec Magazine.

New column for our newsletter!

We are happy to introduce a new column. Beginning in September, Julie B. Krasnogor, Esq will update the Essec USA Community on the latest laws concerning immigration. In the monthly column she will present such sensitive topics as "Alphabet Soup: Options for Temporary Visas to Work in the US" or "Navigating the Road to a Green Card". We are sure that this new addition to the newsletter will be of great values to all our e-readers.

Ms. Krasnogor is a member of Krasnogor & Krasnogor LLP which represents both domestic and international companies, as well as individuals. The firm handles such matters as the employment and transfer of foreign executives, professionals and skilled workers, in addition to compliance with US employer sanction laws. Representation also includes legal advice on foreign business investments in the US by international companies and individual entrepreneurs.

Essec in the news

Anne de Louvigny Stone (Essec 1983 - President of Essec USA), was in "Le Figaro Entreprises" in an article about "Du conseil a la Banque"...

Past NYC event briefing

With over 70 people attending, great music and enjoyable atmosphere, the Salon Musical organized by French American Foundation Young Fellows on July 24 in New York was a great success. It was an excellent opportunity for the Essec who attended to better know each other.

We even had the chance to have in attendance Ovidiu Sofronia, our Chapter Leader in Miami. The musical program started off with arts song by Debusy, Duparc and Poulenc, followed by opera arias (Romeo and Juliette by Gounod, Don Carlo by Verdi, Eugene Onegin by Tchaikovsky, Iphigénie en Tauride by Gluck, and Carmen by Bizet). French and American Jazz classics as well as Broadway famous tunes concluded the evening. And of course the letter from Essec internship department...
