Acting First in the US "Acting First" is not only the motto of the school but also a reality in the US. For example, the US Alumni will be the first Business School association to become an associate member of the New York chapter of the Franco American Chamber of Commerce... Outside of New York, the chapters are growing...

It's a good time to remember to update your personal information with La Maison des Essec. Attention everyone: We are in the process of changing the distribution of our newsletter to only alumni dully registered at the Federation des Essec. New York Chapter - Special French Culinary Dinner End of the summer, back to business. In order to regroup after the summer, we are offering you to join us for dinner in lieu of the monthly get-together. It will be on September 16 (a Monday for once), at 8:00PM at L'Ecole. The price is $29.95 for a 5 course dinner (not including tax / gratuities / drinks). Reservation is required by September 12. Attendance is limited to 10 people. See "Upcoming Events" for details

As of the first of July 2002, Ovidiu Sofronia (Essec 1995), currently Controller Guerlain Latin America, has been appointed Controller Latin America for Parfums Christian Dior and Guerlain. Special Update: Change in U.S. Immigration Law As a result of the September 11, 2001 tragedy, Congress has begun to make a concerted effort to keep track of all aliens* in the U.S. As a result, the government has begun implementing a long-standing requirement for all aliens in the U.S. to register any change of address while they are residing within the U.S.
