It Happens Around Us

March - Month of Francophonie

New York City

Mercredi 20 mars à 18h30 au FIAF (entrée gratuite) dans le cadre de la célébration mondiale de la Francophonie.
 
Léopold Senghor:
Documentaire de la série un siècle d'écrivain.
 
Béatrice Soulé, réalisatrice du documentaire, a voulu magnifier ce
chantre de la négritude et de la francophonie et confie à un jeune
rappeur la parole de Senghor dont le naturel et la vitalité illuminent une promenade en images sur les lieux de mémoire africains. La réalisatrice offre au poète ce qu'il a promit au Sénégal: "il est temps que nous te rendions ton visage de jeunesse". Le film, sans commentaire, prend la forme d'un long poème rythmé par des évocations sonores. In French with English subtitles.
